[Official] Miami Grand Prix - Predictions Contest 2023 - Round 5 of 23 - Results

Well, I didn't much enjoy the DRS fest that was Miami, but I won't complain about my result in Miami, taking my first win in 2023. I drew on points with my wife, but won on countback, due to having predicted 3rd correctly, whereas she first slipped up on 3rd (after both of us had Verstappen and Pérez in 1st and 2nd respectively - that was the case for many, in fact).


What happened in Miami

There were 14 entries in Miami and 9 of those put Verstappen and Pérez in 1st and 2nd respectively. I was the only person to plump for the other way round.

12 put Verstappen in 1st place and this was the most commonly correctly predicted driver in his exact place.

The most common omission from the top 10 was Magnussen - no-one predicted him in their top 10 anywhere.

Stroll was the commonly predicted driver who didn't feature in the top 10 - all but one person had him in there.

11 out of 14 had the highest number of top 10 finishers (in any order) - 8.

The person with the lowest number was TCT who had 5.

TCT did have the distinction of being the only person to get a qualifying position right - Sainz in 3rd.

We had our first 20-driver finish of the season.
