The Sandown error was hard to take, but Bathurst double clanger - they were not racing for the lead, why cut it so fine?

I'm interested to know had their stopped earlier prior? How did they only get it so wrong on the last stint?

How in hell did it get past 3 people?

Surely if your engineer gaffes someone above him picks it up or double checks his homework
