To be honest, I think that's quite likely. The combination of weather, season finale and 'end of term hi-jinks', maybe carnage could be a better word to use?

The last brands round is always fun, never seen a dull race at the season finale, one race not to miss IMHO.

Who's calling me an expert?

I can see quite a few drivers, especially in R3, taking a robust approach.

Think Jordan will be particularly forceful, though if he wants a sniff of trophy he best remember the punishment Sonic had for doing the classic Matt Neal last corner at Brands move.

I'm going to take a punt on a last podium for Sutton if we have any chance of race day rain. The lads good, he's ****ed with the car and will likely be trying to sign off on a high. Maybe with a bang too...

I think I need to more explicit Mr 962. It's BMRs last outing. Possibly also Ashs last BTCC outing, though I hope not.

Their contract with Subaru has expired.
Their car is not performing well.
Their finances appear to have been stretched in recent years.

Nothing is official yet - but would it really surprise you if they did depart the BTCC? There's a trend established:

4 cars + manufacturer backing + acquisition of another team.
Down to 3 cars
End of manufacturer backing
Performance decline
Winding up of business entities
Loss of engine supplier due to financial shortfall
Claims from former driver of non payment
Bankruptcy proceedings initiated
Down to 2 cars (neither of which is owned)

There only seems to be one way this is heading......

Maybe where the Moffats have got the new TBL from to be selling one with the Merc shell.
Bought BMR plus equipment at the end of the year take on TBL plus get Ash Sutton driving in the second Infinity with his RWD experience he will be a good guy to help them develop the car and possibly Aiden as a driver

Ash is one of 4 in contention for a UAW seat alongside Mostert if rumours are true (Carl Faux is there), but I’m sure he’s looking at all options, the Infiniti being one of them.

I really can't see AJ sticking about unless he gets a sponsor to come back to WSR.
They are pretty much the benchmark in BTCC and he is not going to Honda anytime soon.

The story that rings truest I've had is that Rob was advised/ was considering himself not returning on health grounds and/ or sponsorship (he was prepared to put his sons before himself).

Dick subsequently did a deal with Tom O before Rob decided he would like to/ could continue.

There is no bad blood between Rob and Dick, so I would imagine they've had a chat about next year.

I certainly think Rob's driving style is so well adapted to RWD that he'd get better results back in the BMW.

There were rumours Ash is considered as an option to join Walkinshaw Andretti United but according to Australian media (can't remember where I read it though) this is a very unlikely option.

or at Silverstone when Collard spun Turkington....

hope for Collard he doesn't touch any WSR car on the final
