Yup, but like FIA GT3, the definition of who's a pro and who not is a little iffy, so teams get away with pairing fast youngsters with pros or having line-ups completely made up of young hotshoes like Abt did this year.
With the still somewhat limited level of attention the series is getting pro-pro is probably financially not viable yet, anyway - you'd need some serious outside sponsorship for that. |

Depending on your race experience you should expect numbers around 130-160.000 Euros (Phoenix, ABT & Mühlner numbers) including catering for 6 sponsors each race, but without damage, travel and accomodation expenses.

Cars so far entered for the 2011-season, as per this article:
6x Mercedes SLS 5x Audi R8LMS 5x Lamborgini Gallardo 10x Porsche (not sure if all GT3R or some Cup-cars) 1x Ferrari 4x Corvette Entries from BMW, Alpina and Dodge are also expected... That's a huge field! |

Good numbers overall though. |

Team Liqui Molly Engstler to field a pair of Alpinas
Kinda strange, as they've already bought a Z4 and ran it at Dubai... |

Also, a new engine for the Alpina - out goes the supercharged 4,4l V8, in goes a Dinan BMW Daytona Prototype engine...

How is that possible? rules must be pretty flexible-unless the Dinan engine is based on the same engine that was in the Alpina without the supercharger?

The engine rules are indeed pretty flexible - I think you're fine as long the engine is from the same manufacturer. BMW was allowed to switch from the I6 to the V8 in the Z4 after all...

And they're not on the entrylist yet... But 37 cars is a good number, I wish Australian GT had a field like that , it kinda helps I guess if half the cars in the field are built in the same country. Great to see the Viper still being raced. |
