rhodopsin should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Shelsley Walsh

Some of you may have notice me at the last meeting at Shelsley with my new old purchase. A Bronica ETRSi. Here's one of the photos I took:

I used a 50mm lens in the diminishing light, wide aperture and slow shutter speed with 400 ISO B&W film.

I've scanned it and added sepia for the traditional aged effect.

What do you think?

Looks like it could have been lifted straight from a 1930's programme...

Would make a lovely print for the wall and a good addition to the portfolio

Apart from the crash helmet & overalls!

Must agree it is a superb photo which captures the essence of Shelsley. I think a 30 x 20 inch print would look stunning!

That is stunning. I could tell you were enjoying the camera, but seriously impressed with the results.

Again the modern helmet gives it away.

No need, it would look identical to this years!

Cracking photo's Richard. The Old cars do look very 'correct' with the Sepia effect.

Thanks all for your kind comments.

Some of you have asked me over recent seasons - which is best Digital or Film and having experimented a little I personally feel film is still better quality wise. However, for speed from the camera to print digital isn't that bad. Here's a ditigal photo which all I done is converted into B&W and added sepia effect and nothing more.

Great stuff, the kind of stuff that gets poor impoverished kids like me to impoverish the council and ask for grants to buy expensive stuff to take pictures half as good as those.

If that makes sense...

Councils have no business buying gear like that.
They should be concentrating on maintaining the over priced services that they shaft me £1200 per annum for.
And making sure the park keeper does a full set of hours. Oops forgot, we don't have a park keeper any more, he went to make way for a new Media Suite.

Sorry for trying to forward my career and taking some initiative! That scheme has done a whole lot of good for a hell of a lot of people; don't knock it, ok?

Hasn't done any good round here. The council's should concentrate on improving services to people, not giving out handouts to every minority group that asks.

Anyway back on topic. Excellent pics as usual Rhodopsin.
