It turns out not to be owned by the chap I was speaking to but by an Alvis Specialist based in Wales, apparently he has lots of hair and a big beard, not very tall.Anyone fitting this description, please contact Peter Morley, its not urgent though.

I just downloaded the freebie Lotus (single cylinder) software and it looks promising - once I've worked out what to do with it!

OK Peter but has it's limitations, all simulation seems to be on a single cylinder as are 1/2 scale mock ups prior to producing the prototype, then it still smacks in the face. Good luck, hope you have plenty of hair!

the nice thing about the one I'm using is its a complete engine with manifolds etc, header design makes a huge difference to a weedy 4 cyl prehistoric shopping engine . . .in fact I've arguably been wasting my time playing with cams without changing the manifold design to suit.
I can also give it crap petrol and ignition advance to see when the pistons will melt theres no add on for overheating by a crap rolling road operator though !!! |

size isn't a problem here Terry
its the length which needs tuning, not on the papers . . . Given the change or 'inheritance' at the top I don't think the FiA can afford to be heightist about such insignificant detail I've never seen Euro software P261brm . . . .maybe its too accurate to be released? |

? would not know Zef, Lotus is IBM, Desktop Dyno came with a book on cam design but will only allow models above 3000cc and a rev limit of 7K not a lot of use if one wants 1500cc and 11K.
