Having not been to Spa for a couple of years, it was sad to see its Lack of Whoopi snacks and bars in robust sheds. the token system wreaks of everything thats wrong. Having had my wallet thinned for a teacup of foamed ****, we reverted to base camp . . . with what we procured en route, it was cheaper to invite and offer friends and others a gratis beverage than it was to join them at the fleece-allotti bar

do these 'business ventures' work? or is it just another F1 inspired dagger in SPa's heart?

It was suggested to Cliff and me by someone with knowledge of Spa that the change from previous to new fast food outlets was political (if that is the right word). The new regime certainly didn't encourage spectators or competitors to part with hard earned........ I never spent a euro on food at circuit for first time, but apparently the brasserie above F1 pits was OK and maybe has benefitted from the demise of Whoopi?

Mystery solved, had a chat with Adam at Combe last weekend. He lost gears on the last lap and pulled into the pits, but then saw the chequered flag so staggered across the line in the pit lane. Because I was watching the 911 in my mirrors I hadn't noticed him sneak off.

Looks like he overtook under yellows at about 22 secs into La Source. Lucky not to be up to race control for that one.
