Macau is a stand alone World Cup event. That announcement doesn't change this. As a matter of fact, it may very well be the event that allows the regional F3 series to square off against each other.

What Regional F3? If such really happens, each series will have different hardware anyway. Just like the F4 Finals that don’t happen.

Nice idea but the new F3 (really GP3) will probably be in Abu Dhabi at that time of year.

Regional F3 is the new category that the FIA announced as a bridge between national F4 and International F3. F3 Americas and the F3 Asian Championship have already been announced. With Mygale announcing that they are building a chassis for regional F3 I think Europe is next (probably to replace the Formula Renault Eurocup if rumors are true). |

I heard there is a World final for Formula BMW before that the attention is not the organizer expected.

Cannot see a major difference between GP3 and the new F3, may have slightly less power but sadly the wonderful years of proper F3 have gone. Macau has a problem with track licence for a powerful single seaters so depends on new F3 engine. Macau would make a great F1 event utilising roads by the new casinos, last year Macau revenue from Casinos was £22 Billion so no shortage of money.

good point - i'm kinda surprised they haven't pitched for a formula e race in the casino streets (not the proper bit up the hill!) yet too.

Perhaps it is time for us to enjoy the very last season of VW-engines in F3. Does the walker choose the path, or the path the walker? |

Circuits are graded by the FIA as to the type of car that can run on them

Here comes the official grid for the FIA F3 Euro Champion season, 24 full-time entry, while only one place from VAR is still outstanding.

Anchor team VAR will fill up their seat. I'm certain.

Alex Karkosik has turned up for Euroformula Open test at Jerez de la Frontera today, so me thinks Florsch is/will be last signing for VAR.

No, she doesn't have the funding. She needs more than half a Million Euro.

She claims it has, hence she couldn't take part in test at Hungaroring. But, similar issues I was saying in official pressers to justify my driver's missing from test/race. Yeah money related it was.

I think Mercedes will secure the cockpit for her - there is a connection between Mercedes and Flörsch. |
