So it's pretty much confirmed that MB Motorsport will continue, this time with Ford. As if we didn't already know. Now just need to wait to see who will drive the other three Fords as well as Hill

One just reads to the notes from the learned Gentlemen above to acquire that information.
If you're waiting for official announcements then you'll be waiting a while yet, ditto for paint schemes/ sponsors. |

Have we had any info yet on when PMR might confirm anything?
Looking at the TBL table, I think the only teams who have been really quiet are WSR, Dynamics and PMR. |

Excelr8 put up an announcement at 8 tomorrow which has since been deleted, so yeah there goes any last doubt 😂 Really hope the Hyundai is a bit stronger this year, sadly don't think Tom will be in the run for the championship but hopefully will pick up a few wins.

I reckon Ingram could do a good job for Hyundai. At this time last season, the Laser Tools Infiniti looked about as good as the Excelr8 Hyundai looks now, but Ash Sutton took it to the championship. I don't think Ingram will be a title contender next season, but I think he will win a few races, and not necessarily just reverse grids.

No reason that Tingram and Excelr8 won't deliver better results than Tingram and Speedworks.
I believe Excelr8 to be more than capable. |

Brave move by Tingram to go to a relatively new team with a newish car. I’m sure his talent will shine through though

He certainly appears to be able to rustle an unruly car (especially in qualifying), it'll be interesting to see how he gets on in something different.
(Thinking about it, Ash Sutton appears to have a similar ability, so maybe it'll be even more interesting than I first thought?) |

I think he will help to push them forward, sometimes a new car and team need a driver with that little bit extra to move the whole thing forward.
I think he has a great feel for the car in all conditions and on the brakes. |

With the start of the season delayed, has the closing date for registrations been pushed back as well? Normally registrations would need to be in by mid Feb with media day in mid/late March a couple of weeks before the first meeting.

Completely agree. Smiley finished 14th in the championship in 2019 (BTC FK8) and in 2020 in the new i30. That shows the i30 is a quick car and Exceler8 know their stuff.

I think it’ll help him having other drivers to exchange data with, something I think Speedworks have always struggled with from lacking. There’s a lot of potential in that car too. Seems like a shrewd move to me.

It's a great move, I don't expect the car to be any better than the Corolla, but with 3 teammates data options they'll be able to improve it faster. Tom has done the development on the Corolla so we know he can do that. I just hope that they find another good driver for the last car.

Interesting the team is called Excelr8 Trade Price Cars. Looks like 4 cars under one banner not two pairs of two as per the TPC/AMD tie up?
Ginsters/DraperTools/TPC funding combined that's a potentially very VERY well backed outfit, |

its sure going to be a tight season up the front , its easy to see from the outside that top names behind the scenes make the difference , I suspect Toms engineer will follow him to Hyundai and that will get him going on the right foot, Im not sure having lots of data is the answer to go faster , JP had all that data from a 4 car superstar engineering team , hes a top driver but if hes not dialled in to the car and the team then the job isnt as natural to deliver , Andy Jordan is a handy pilot and his best years were in his own team in my view , Tom is going to be at the sharp end and it will be great for us all to watch , Im pretty sure Toyota will not be anywhere else but alongside to fight him . For me an understandable move from commercial view and Tom knows he can only go racing with that backing . Every driver in the BTCC has to bring something to the team from a financial point of view . There is no factory paying them like the past.good luck to all of them who manage to organise a seat in this fantastic series.
