It was a good race.

Bit scrappy early on, but some great racing in the second half.

Raven should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Thought the last laps were a bit of an anticlimax. The cars don't seem to have enough power to complete a pass. Kanaan could just stay low without ever having to lift and Dario, despite being in the tow, could do nothing.

I prefer to see them on the more conventional 1 & 1.5 mile ovals.

Thumbs up to Darren Manning, he made the race interesting. Without that clash with Rice he probably would have finished 3rd or 4th. In comparison with Dixon, he's doing a good job this year.

This is the exact problem NASCAR drivers COMPLAINED about for years until major pile-ups became an embarassment to NASCAR.
Without the torque of a larger displacement, and being handicapped by an artificial red-line in the IRL, the cars can no longer accelerate out of a danger zone and can only hit the brakes. Once the brakes are locked-up all the can do then is put their faith in God and close their eyes.
I think George has bit the pig in the REAR with this one.
Time will tell.
Bob

how come there's only 33 drivers listed in the point standings when robbie buhl didn't start the indy 500? shouldn't there be 34 drivers that started a race this year? Who's missing?

A very positive day for Tony, particularly about the standings, that now see him leading clearly.

Ah!

If two people are twenty-seventh equal, the next one should be listed as twenty-ninth rather than twenty-eighth, then.

I'm actually looking forward to Richmind, where last year Scott gave his colleagues a real lesson.
I hope that, just to spice up things, non-Hinda drivers will get the chance of a very short track to make driving skills prevail on pure horsepower.
