[CTCRA19R5] CarSales 2019 TCRA Round 5, Winton 30 Aug-1 Sep

20 cars for Winton?

Mr Ingall & Mrs Tander return, Mr Cox stays in the Alfa, and the others are dependent on parts supply & team finances. Rumours of Mr Morris joining the grid are around also.

Not long til we find out how it goes...

Was planning on going, but my lovely family had other ideas for Father's Day.

My understanding is that the engineless Subaru and Opel, are still engineless.

Also talk of a 4th Honda, the one Mr Martin shortened at PI, appearing.

Quite a few changes to the entry here according to Speedcafe

Tim Brook in the third Wall Honda.

Liam McAdam takes over the #4 (now #97) Audi, apparently for the rest of the season

Multiple changes at Kelly:
  • Heimgartner staying in the Astra, with Chelsea Angelo still benched
  • Bryce Fullwood taking over the Heimgartner Scooby
  • Rullo stepping down from the #62 Astra (concentrating on his endurance co-drives and was only on a deal for 4 meetings anyway) replaced by Hamish Ribarits

Not watching today because I am at work, but a DNF for all the GRM cars?

Correct - pilot issue for Cox ( looks like he got tangled up with Martin) and fuel pressure issues for both frogs.

Broken driveshaft for the non Taylor Subaru

Both Subarus looking a bit ratty now. Signwriting incomplete, still wearing damage from previous events, still slow and unreliable. The Astras, too were off the pace, besides Mr Heimgartner's one quick lap in qualy.

Seriously, move them onto a team who actually gives a ****.

Sounds like someone meeting their contractual obligations only...

Good to see Brighty back on the pace. Brown and JB way faster in Race 3 than any other cars. The only cars in the 1 min 24 sec lap time bracket and by a fair way. Pity about the start line incident though.

Did I also see Ms Taylor's personal transport raided for parts?

Mr Bright's car allegedly received a significant birthday since QR.

Ms Whitely's car is due for one as well, being of similar vintage and mileage.

Correct.

However, telling your drivers not to hammer the kerbs would have been a smarter option...
