MattC should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Fastest 4 seater in 1975 America?

With stats of 0-60 mph in under 9 seconds and top speed of 120 mph were the Trans Am 455 and BMW 530i 4 speeds, the fastest full 4 seater cars in 1975? I can't think of any others.

I was going to say Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9 (0-60 7sec, 140mph) but it looks like they didn't get to the USA until a year or two later. What did Chrysler still sell with a 440?

Lambo Espada.

http://www.motorbase.com/vehicle/by-id/597/

Top Speed: 153 MPH.

0-60 MPH 7.8 secs.

I had one for two weeks, courtesy of my then racing sponsor; whilst I was fettling it as the concessionaires, at Aley Street, London, were utterly hopeless!

Aston DB4GT: 2 + 2 seater.

Top Speed: 146 MPH; 0-60 in 6 secs.

Aston Martin Lagonda:

149 MPH: 0-60 in 6.1 secs.

Chevelle Malibu 1969 V8.

Back in the day, as they say my father had a 1969 Chevelle Malibu 4 door car. It was a 350 ci V8 and it was bloody mental! Very fast, used to really push you back in the seat, I assume it was available in the USA?!

Has to be a contender!
