Just saw the result, great weekend for the Panoz!

Also saw the list of stories on s365 outlining all the penalties and confusion at the end of the races this weekend. Race control is a tough job, but I don't think the series will a lot of support in its paddock with this performance.

Good news is today's race was much better, despite 2 FCYs/ending under yellow. Hoping everyone's ok from the second yellow.

Really great to see CRP Racing back on the top step of the podium, it's been a while for them. Really impressed with Daniel Morad in the first stint, holding off Jeroen Bleekemolen in the same car is no small feat.

Good rebound for the series. Other than the two cautions, the racing was competitive and much more enjoyable.
With such a stellar field of GT3 teams, PWC has so much potential.

A shame both Lizard cars ran into trouble, especially after Baptista was running so strong early.
I thought that the first GTS race was a bit boring, but race 2 was excellent!

That was a really scary moment! Other than that accident the TC race was an incredible amount of fun to watch. Race 2 should be coming up shortly.

This is complete B-S! That Camaro was weaving all over the back straight blocking the Panoz on the last lap. If anyone deserves a penalty for unsportsmanly driving it is Aschenbach. Personally, I think that it was just good hard racing, battling for a podium spot on the last lap of a race.
Aschenbach had a good solid points weekend, while His main antagonists faltered. You would think that He would have been happy with that.
Not impressed, Mr Aschenbach.

Here's the clip of the last lap with the battle for 3rd spot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKGtQpwdeYE

The weaving looks "pro-active" to me, i.e. Aschenbach started the changing of the lane - which he did several times - and James shadowed him. This is allowed, unlike when you respond to a lane change from car directly behind you. The contact James made going into 14 to unsettle the Camaro so he could pull aside and ultimately ahead was deemed unfair [it's contact made with an advantage gained (swap of positions)], hence the penalty. Makes sense to me.

Camaro was borderline, but he was just trying to break the tow rather than properly block. If he was trying to block then he'd have done it into the braking zone. The Panoz just pushed him out the way.

That penalty seems legit tbh.

If Mancinelli punting Kaffer warranted no action, this certainly should not have been a penalty.

Hard for me to say for sure, but it is possible the Camero parked it a bit going into the corner to purposely slow the Panoz. Or maybe the braking points for each car are different and James just cut it too close.

I haven't seen that one yet but every incident should be judged on its own, not in reference to other ones.

But I agree, consistency from race officials is a must so it seems there's some room for improvement at least.
