And too late in the day to organise another full time drive. Sucks for tander but I do hope Stanaway is able to prove himself this season.

There are wonderful conspiracy theories as to why Tander was moved on floating about on social media. Not sure how much weight you place on these theories but past histories relating to all the big players meant that Tander became collateral damage. Allegedly. Or something.

Pretty much has to be a buyout, although why they would keep Golding over Tander is beyond me.
No doubt Garry couldn't replace the Wilson offer, and Peter A made an offer too good to refuse. |

The GRM/Adderton relationship extends back to the Super Touring days with the Alfa, Honda, and Nissan.
While it sucks to be Garth, he didn't have a contract in place beyond 2018. He's expensive, but the bloke now paying the larger portion of the bills had a much cheaper alternative. |

Same, but the word "youth" was used in all the press releases. I'm wondering if Golding brings a budget and that saved him?
GRM weren't exactly ultra competitive last year, Hopefully they don't become a rudderless ship this year setting the car up. On another note. That's it for drivers that raced the series in the 90's and only 2 drivers left on the grid that ran pre Blueprint. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk |

Stanaway is the fastest of all the Kiwis currently going around.
No brainer to put him in a decent set of wheels. |

While unexpected, not without precedent. While some have departed GRM of their own volition, plenty have been on bad terms; Bargwanna, Whincup, Canto, Premat, Dahlgren, Wall, Moffat, Pither and now Tander having been shown the door.
You'd have to think, had this been announced earlier, he may have been in with a chance at some of the other seats that have recently been filled. Would have to be first pick in the co-driver market. |

At least hes not entertaining the Nissan route. He could earn a comfortable living at the Red Bull team as an Enduro driver, no?

So even though Boost / Adderton wanted 2 young drivers, I don't understand why Garth wasn't put into the previously promised management roll? He would have a lot to offer in that department, with all his experience across several big and ( at the time ) well run and successful teams.

Or maybe not part of the future owners managment plan... An opportunity to snag some trophies with SVG in some of the biggest races in the next few years. That's probably the biggest reason. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk |

Oh wow, SvG and GT are going to be very hard to beat. Hope they smash them all, especially the wonder boy(s) in the next garage.
