Cholmondeley Pageant Of Power

I'm surprised there's nothing on here from the CPOP.

Here's a taster for starters. I'll post some more when I've filled decorating duties.

Well, Mr Rowley's event has been hogging the limelight, on here!

That's no way to treat a valuable racing car, but a dramatic shot, Alan. More please!

The forecast for saturday was rubbish but apart from a few showers the weather was great. I even topped up my sunburn that I got at Oulton Park the day before

The glorious Matra 670B came out in the early damp session...

....and promptly broke down, although it was out later wailing away

Cholmondeley Castle, Rescue Helicopter and a Fraser Nash.

Various piccies.

I'll post some more tomorrow.

That's the Ferrallac (forgotten spelling!) with all four wheels off the ground, is it not? That FN is very pretty; shame it's such a rare beast.

Yes it's the Allard Farrallac. It was driven fairly hard all day and took to an escape road at least once!

Alan Crook should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The Farrallac took to the escape road with Tony Bianchi driving, the photo with all four wheels off the ground is Pia Bianchi driving.

Better late, than never I hope..
1. The BRM P67 heads Donington's display of 4WD F1 cars
2. A volley of Vanwalls
3. Chris Williams gently eases the Napier-Bentley off the line
4. Robin Longdon - Lotus Elite DAD10
5. Ian Stewart's Morgan Super Aero
6. Rob Hall struggles to get the Auto Union to run cleanly
