Over here several fire services get the cars that have been seized for no tax or insurance, just before they go to the crusher.

A local breakers yard sets up "accidents" on an access road in their yard under the direction of the station boss. He arranges these sessions at random - the crews never know when he is planning it.

Definitely a great idea.

Thinking from a Rescue Crew perspective, nothing beats the real deal. The only way we can really know how the spreaders, cutters and rams work in any given situation is to use them on good examples.
