Just maybe Monaco Historic will skip a year & go straight to 2022, thus putting it on alternate years with LM Classic (and it can still be my 70th birthday treat!).

I will remember that - you're getting just like Bob!

Anyway, I am not 70 for two more years yet, just like the wife/mother of your president!!

I've been told from a good source Monaco Historic won't be run next year it's another 2 year wait sadly.

So the Tour Auto will clash with TDF?
Seems unlikely
Most of the dates are extremely speculative.
Italian Tour now November ( perhaps)
Probably truth is write off this year.

You both are right I fear. Another concern comes from the french meetings now scheduled in August when our neighbors are wisely announcing nothing will happen before Sept, at best.
We know Masters, HSCC and HVM are working together re-scheduling the end of a season which hasn't started yet. Must not be a piece of cake wish them good luck.

On PA new calendar the Dix Mille Tours still appear on 23/26 Jul. Sounds a bit optimistic imo. My friend Jean Marc entered his Semi Lightweight at LMC and Tour Auto but we keep ready to share my MX at Charade end of August.

In order to keep Alan a happy bunny, you have this:
Les Deux Tours d'Horloge, Paul Ricard, Le Castellet, 6/8 Nov 2020. A non stop 24 hours race held by VdeV Sports and HVM Racing.

And in the mean time, the U.K. Chief Scientific Advisor has announced that it is unrealistic to expect social distancing requirements to be relaxed before the end of the year. I assume a similar approach will be taken in other countries? No one yet knows what the details of this can mean but it certainly means than anything involving social gatherings and spectator sports is going to be difficult.
That may all mean that some sports/ events can stream and club motorsport may be able to exist behind closed doors but for many activities where footfall is important or a vital part of the business model it is going to be extremely difficult.

Is Les Deux Tours now a non-stop 24-hour race? I know it's a long time ago but when I went there was a two-hour break halfway.

No break at all, John, thats a big difference with LMC. May be you're referring to a red flagged then restarted edition because of a heavy fog during night? Its flat out all way long. But at this time of the year the weather will be important, mind you Le Castellet is located in the mountains, the altitude is nearly 500 meters. I do remember the Mistral almost sending my Giulia out of the track soon in the morning…

I quite understand your point Andy, you made it clear. May be social distanciation will promote track rather than rallye and clubby rather than big events.

There used to be some quirky rule about not allowing more than one 24 hour race per year in an individual country, hence the reason for the break - and probably where the race's name actually originated.

I know certainly in 1993 there was a break, not a red flag.

It’s only my opinion but I think that if sport and leisure are to resume then in the short term it will only be where social distancing can be maintained. Golf - ok, club racing and rallying - ok (no spectators, but need to think about the pit lane, paddock and marshals posts), GP’s live stream only, football - ? going to the pub or restaurant or clubhouse - doubt it!

There is a suggestion here that bars, cafes & restaurants could re-open on 15 June, despite the fact that house arrest ends on 11 May.

2m separation? Drink beer through a face mask with hole for a straw, liquidised food?

I remember my nuclear, biological, chemical defence (NBCD) training in the military - they genuinely thought we could operate in all over protection suits and a respirator mask, whilst drinking and feeding ourselves whilst decontaminating ourselves too. We would have all been dead from either dehydration and / or heat stroke or from whatever the nasties were within hours!!! Cheery thought!

John I think politicians are already talking about sport events in July. In the other hand for the scientists its a no, no… May be a chance here, our meetings bringing few spectators!
