Yeah I'm glad Neil picked up the win, he's been the best of the rest from what i've read behind either Mladin or the Suzuki's this year (Barring Pikes Peak where EBoz is the "man" ). It'll be good if maybe the 999R is a better bike next year and he can duke it out with Mladin.

Forget that - he should go back to the Ducati WSBK team. I know he gets a lot of stick but he's far better than Toseland or Laconi. Also a lot of people slate him for not winning the world championship in a competitive year so would be good to see him back battling it out with the best!!

Neil rode very well in what were appalling conditions.
the dry second race soon brought everyone back to earth, Mladin crushing everyone yet again. |

Agreed about Hodge, rode brilliantly in the wet, but seemed to have ike problems in the second race on the last lap!
Have to say the quality of the grid in the AMA series is rather lacing in quality, there seem to be about 40 blokes on the grid and most of them are tuggers! Plus are there any flas over there for backmarkers, they just do not get out of the way. I can see why Mat is alwas complaining about the tracks aswell, it was like watching a WSB race from the early nineties, marshalls seemingly unaware of what was going on, very amateur, considering the money being spent b he teams! |

Exactly gom, and its all Honda's fault! They wanted this stupid new Extreme series o promote the CBR6 as a race bike coz it was getting trounced in AMA rules as it is a whale of a thing.
Yam Kwak etc are not interested so put thie weight behind SS which costs far less cash! TYpical Honda trying to punch above their weight. I remember Mladin saying he would watch the 200 when he got home after winning the real Daytona. Have to admit to being amused by them getting stuffed in Superbike by an AMA novice and private Suzukis and Hayes!! serves em right |
