2018 Americas Rallycross Championship (ARX)
Given that the ARX Facebook page has finally sprung into life and we have some details, I thought I would start a separate thread for this Championship. Obviously we know it's a four round Championship:
R1 - 26/27 May - Silverstone, UK (World RX R4) R2 - ? July - CoTA, US R3 - 4/5 August - Trois-Rivieres, Canada (World RX R7) R4 - 29/30 September - CoTA, US (World RX R10) Entries for the first round have been revealed, with 10 drivers on the list: Tanner Foust - Volkswagen Beetle (VARX) Scott Speed - Volkswagen Beetle (VARX) Chris Atkinson - Subaru STI (Vermont) Patrik Sandell - Subaru STI (Vermont) David Higgins - Subaru STI (Vermont) Timo Scheider - Seat Ibiza (Munnich Motorsport) Rene Munnich - Seat Ibiza (Munnich Motorsport) Liam Doran - Citroen DS3 (LD Motorsport) Andy Scott - Peugeot 208 (Albatec) Philippe Maloigne - ? (Maybe one of the older Albatec 208's?) Glad they have managed to fill the grid out, as seeing just four or five cars going round would look a bit silly. I wonder if any of the additional entries have any intention of running the whole Championship? (Liam perhaps?) According to the ARX Facebook page the race coverage will be broadcast free on Facebook. |
