To the best of my knowledge the rest are coming, hopefully I'm wrong about Adrian and Bill and they'll get there too.

this is a copy of an email from fosc
what right does TrackCorp Adrenalin Pty Limited have in trying to stop
FOSC running a regularity event??

"alleging that our conducting regularity may affect their revenue when they stage an event next November."
if they are too incompetent to run a profitable event then stiff s**t
what next woolies stopping coles selling stuff because it reduces there
profit?
I hope trackcorp has to pay all courts costs and no one enters ther event
mal

no wonder our courts are clogged up all the time!

Hi Malcolm,
DON'T PANIC!!!
FOSC's S Easter 2010 Mt Panorama race meeting is going ahead.
You may have heard that an attempt is being made to force the Bathurst
Council to stop the REGULARITY events at our "Bathurst 2010 - the Way it
Was" Easter meeting.
There is no challenge to our racing program.
On Tuesday, a company called TrackCorp Adrenalin Pty Limited will seek
an injunction from the Supreme Court restraining the Council from
permitting us to hold the REGULARITY events, alleging that our
conducting regularity may affect their revenue when they stage an event
next November.
FoSC is confident that the application for an injunction will fail.
FoSC is proceeding on the assumption that the event will go ahead
exactly as programmed.
We shall keep you posted.
My Best Regards

Charles Jardine

Incredible! I would love to see the judges face when they read that out - the look will say something like
"...you're having a f$%ckin laugh right???...."

If this was two days later I would have said, yeah good one, I fell for it, almost!

Couple of beautiful Bathurst days so far and some great racing.... the Group C and A boys are doing a great job, it's been an awesome step back in time seeing these guys belting across the top of the Mountain. Other highlights include the great battle between Iain Pretty's awesome Ford GT and the Elise of Tim Mackie this afternoon and the big fields in all categories. What a way to spend the weekend.....

Really enjoyed that battle also.

Was a great days racing on Saturday and well worth the 6 hour day trip.

David, it looked like a pretty lonely race 2 on Saturday for you with the Commodores bolting and the rest being a long way behind you ?

Gary did it surprisingly easy ?

David Towe should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I managed to work my way through the field on Saturday after the poor qualifying position (Brake problem in qualiie meant grid 14) and caught the VC Commodore of Chris Collins and the Torana of Perrot only to be held up by their battle (which was a very controlled but intense battle) to finish 4th. Sunday morning I again caught them but this time got past Chris Collins on one lap and Perrot on the next but the Gary Collins horse had well and truly bolted.

What a track to race around!! I feel I could have taken more time off if given more track time (lost 15 minutes in qualifying) and the right diff (I used a borrowed road car M3 diff with only 25% lock instead of the motorsport 70% lock so I was losing drive when I picked up the inside wheel) and some Pirelli tyres, but make no mistake Gary is a good peddler and probably unbeatable on the day. I'm proud of my efforts and happy to have both cars home in one peice.

Two bucket list items ticked off, raced Bathurst in an M3 and brought Brocky's M3 home as well, not a bad weekend.

Was wondering where you disappeared to in Qualy David!
So you've got both the other M3 from Bathurst as well now? Who owns the Mobil liveried one that was on display at the Melbourne F1 this year?

Pics will be coming in the next few days, many thousands of images to sort....

Great to catch up with David Paterson

Thanks, it was a fairly ballsy move I thought, I wasn't surprised so much as annoyed I was placed in a position wher I had to make that sort of a move to take the place. Group A/C drivers had our own meeting where we agreed that we'd surrender places to a faster car much easier than we'd normally do, but this agreement clearly went out the window by the time we got to the last race on Saturday. As the Collins/Perrot battle in front of me didn't surrender going over Skyline so I upheld my end of the deal and stayed behind. The 3 of us spoke about it after the race and it became clear that if I wanted the spot I'd have to take it, so I used what I'd learned the on Saturday to make the move twice on them(once to take Collins and once to take Perrot) on Sunday. Don't get me wrong, there was nothing wrong with their conduct under "normal" circumstances, but we'd agreed Bathurst was not a "normal" track so "abnormal" etiquette would apply. I would have liked a skinnier car at the time though, that wall seemed awfully close.

It was great to be flagging the blue at the start line on the last race for the Group N/C as they were drifting around Murrays.

I'm proud of the way all the flaggies were doing their jobs over the weekend and from Fox 1 & myself a huge thank you to you all.

I would like to pass on my thanks to all flaggies, marshals and organisers who gave their time to make the FOSC a success. I had a brilliant weekend with plenty of track time. The standard of flagging was first class, as was the driving.
