If Snet is ready this is sure to be a popular day!
Iain, the RS2000 is not for 2011 6hrs- have gone all German for that! (Although for sake of historic accuracy should add that the Mk2 RS was also built there.... ) |

Last I heard it was very popular so definitely call the office if you want to get in.
Jon and I will be there with the Falcon and Grantura. |

Right, are you guys above still doing this; anyone else? I'm thinking of coming down to wave my camera around, provided weather reasonably OK.

I am fairly sure that the day is full or near full, but I must admit to not knowing how many cars that means! Expect cars out from all CSCC series - Swinging Sixties, Tin Tops, Future Classics, Classic K, Magnificent Sevens, & the new Deutsche Marque series. It'll be a sessioned day but not necessarily by series, more likely by forecast lap times.
I am not taking part in the Toyota but am hoping to get a few laps in Alfaracer156's Alfa Sprint. All being well. |

yes I'll be there with the 924 ( it's almost finished prep, honest!). I and the other two drivers are using it as a shake-down for the 6-hours.

Will be there (in my orange disguise!!) somewhere out on one of the marshal posts on the day - hope to see you trying out all the new photo opportunities that the new circuit provides and hopefully catch up for a chat at some stage. Terry |

Looks like around 124 cars are booked for the day - huge range of machinery as all CSCC grids are covered but in the Historic categories there are: Shelby Mustang Lotus 26R Chevrolet Camaro Marcos 1800 GT Sunbeam Tiger NSU TT Triumph Spitfire MGB MG Sebring GT Jaguar E Type TVR Grantura Triumph TR4 Triumph TR6 Mini Marcos MG Midget Austin Healey Sprite Austin Healey 3000 Morgan Plus 8 Ford Lotus Cortina Ford Falcon Ginetta G4 Plus loads of more recent machinery; all sorts of Porsches, BMW, Alfa, Aston Martins etc etc. Should be a great free day out for car spotters and photographers. Any 10/10ers come and say hello I'm in the powder blue Grantura #63 and with Jon in the white Falcon #13 Last edited by DaveGT6; 28 Mar 2011 at 20:38. |

Well, a terrific number of cars for a test day; many of them, of the type that we cover on this forum, so I'll put some pics up. The day started overcast and dampish and it wasn't helped by some one overfilling their fuel tank and putting a fair amount of it on the track causing a stoppage (one of many during the day!) and a lot of grumbling from drivers and officials! The weather soon brightened up but as it became better the wind really got cracking and I struggled to keep the camera steady, it was that strong. Anyway here goes the first lot:-

Nice pics Mr Turner, as you say the wind was very strong - it even blew the tea out of my mug! A cracking turnout of cars - should be a good seasons racing.
