Carrie should be qualifying in the top 5 on the gridCarrie should be qualifying in the top 5 on the grid
Just been looking at the qualifying times for the feature race at Oulton, so much for Vauxhall having the advantage with no weight penalty, best they could manage is 6th for Plato. Wonder why Muller couldn't manage any better than 9th. Are we looking at another Menu / Ford win at Oulton tomorrow? Anyone know what was wrong with Lemmer's car? I assume something must have been wrong or else he'll be being lapped on the first lap tomorrow. He only did 4 laps in qualifying.
The grid for the sprint race looks like this:
1 11 Alain MENU Ford Mondeo 1:23.673
2 77 Tom KRISTENSEN Honda Accord 1:23.827
3 9 I Matt NEAL Nissan Primera 1:23.882
4 3 Rickard RYDELL Ford Mondeo Zetec 1:23.944
5 12 Anthony REID Ford Mondeo Zetec 1:24.031
6 5 Jason PLATO Vauxhall Vectra 1:24.071
7 4 James THOMPSON Honda Accord 1:24.142
8 8 Vincent RADERMECKER Vauxhall Vectra 1:24.247
9 6 Yvan MULLER Vauxhall Vectra 1:24.279
10 18 Gabriele TARQUINI Honda Accord 1:24.800
11 45 I Colin BLAIR Nissan Primera GT 1:26.823
12 33 B James KAYE Honda Accord 1:34.413
13 13 B Alan MORRISON Peugeot 306 1:34.749
14 21 B Robert COLLARD Nissan Primera 1:36.980
15 20 B Marc NORDON Nissan Primera 1:37.080
16 23 B Mark LEMMER Honda Integra 4:24.060

RIKB should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Lemmer had a big off in testing yesterday causing the session to be red flagged.

He was quoted as saying "I just missed a gear, got a wheel on the dirt and it got
away from me. I went in quite hard but hopefully the car will be ready for
qualifying tomorrow."

Obviously it wasn't

Just a small correction, the above results are for the feature race not the sprint. Qualifying takes place in reverse for some reason

I have just looked at the MST site and they report that both Menu and Rydell have been excluded from these results. No reasons why yet, we'll have to wait for the official annonucement.

Presumably Matt fell off the track somewhere because he only posted 1 lap, so mustn't have got a fast lap in because I don't really think he set a time of over 16 hours

If he had left that handbrake on and been towing a caravan he could have got round faster than that!

Which makes me suspect a misprint somewhere!

Apparently Matt crashed in qualifying for the sprint race.

And Menus' feature race pole was dissallowed because of a "technical infringement"

Looks like Vauxhall told Plato to slow down in second qualifying. Or am I being too cynical?
