Races so far this year
Most of the races on this season have been dull. Last year there were much more action on the track.
I think the biggest reason is race length. Now this isn´t so much endurance race as last year, so drivers make less mistakes. And after qualifying is half an hour longer, the drivers know circuit better. Also we haven´t had any wet races. Last year there were rain at Silverstone, Nürburgring and Hockenheim. I liked last year´s system. What do the others think? |

er, scuse me, i got rained on at silverstone.
but you're right, it hasn't been a really wet race season. i'm almost all for two races per weekend, a la touring cars. one sprint race, one really long race, perhaps on the sunday, post grand prix. that way you could have fun for the drivers (sprint race), a bit of strategy for the drivers (a pit stop), and lots of action. hang on a minute, aren't we forgetting something? this is only an exhibition series. and it's affiliated to f1, so it's bound to be a snooze. it's unfortunate, because i was having a great time watching ricardo sperafico get closer then further away from jaime melo jnr at silverstone, and not once did the tv cameras show us the overtaking move that finally let ricardo past. this was for about 11th and 12th, of course, but still... tv is unfortunate in that it makes boring races seem even worse than they actually are. |

I think the idea of a Sprint race, and then a longer pit-stop race is good. Run one on Saturday and the other on raceday.

i couldn't sit still, jumping around the room, shouting at the telly, everything. but why was it exciting? could it have possibly been those long straights and chicanes they want to get rid of? |
