Was it initially constructed for a regular petrol supertouring engine, but then a TDi was put in afterwards when the project was abandoned? I have no recollection of diesel regulations being officially part of the supertouring spec. I know BMW put a diesel into one of its 320 supertourers for the Spa race in around 1998.

I think I've found another Renault 19 for you Redshoes

I seem to remember they built two new cars in mid 93 and missed Knockhill to test.
