great thread!
My favourite was about some inept driver in Malaysia one year (maybe Karthekeyan?) "He's on a 3 stopper Murray, Kuala Lumpor, Dubai, London" brilliant... |

The 3-stop strategy was Alex Yoong's journey home after failing to qualify at Imola.
'Straight to the scene of the accident' was funny at first as well. His use of English is generally impressive, and he's honest but generally fair. He could probably lead the commentary now, perhaps backed by Davidson. |

"If Webber did not have bad luck, he would have no luck at all"
AND "I bet if you offered Jenson two points now, he'd bite your hand off." He is on fire this morning! |

He made a few duff calls, though - misidentifying one of the Brawns, amongst others. But nowhere near as bad as Legard today

Yeh did anyone notice them both being completely undecided on whether a Force India was Liuzzi/Sutil?
Yeh his comment after Heidfeld's "wranking" was excellent!! Selby |

Agreed
I didn't really catch on at first because it was on at some stupid time in the morning and I was still half asleep. Noticed it the second time I saw it though when my parents were watching the re-run. Don't you just love his comments |

Here's a cool Brundle quote, from yesterday's qualifying session: Quote:
Another good one: Quote:
You folks in the UK are really lucky to have Martin. I wish that SpeedTV would buy a reel of his pithy quotes from each event! Tom |

I liked his comment about (I think it was Rosberg) tiptoeing along in the wet, albeit at 150mph. Put it in perspective.

Note a quote as such, but any gridwalk confrontation with his German counterpart is generally hilarious.

Him and the Sky.de lady are not getting on very well at all. can see him getting a slap this next race.
I liked the 'Wall of death' comment - shame I don't have it recorded as I watched the BBC1 and recorded the red button with Crofty and Davidson. |
