Doubt Ferrari are running light either. It's 2002 all over again. I'm off to bed.

I wouldn't say the season is already over. But, having the Ferrari cars over 2 seconds a lap quicker off of the truck says a lot. Let's see how this plays out...

If David is trying to impress other teams, with a view to next year, by posting a time like that, then its a P45 for Mr D. Coulthard Esq.

Massa stopped in the back straight, fuel pressure problem.

Scumi wasROCKIN' out there. 1:25.127!! And, correct me if I am wrong, wasn't that his 3rd lap of the weekend. Can you imagine what the qualifying times might be?

well spotted Dani.

I dont remember Ferrari having fuel pressure problems last year?

Oh sorry, just been told by Mr Moseley that the Sauber is an all new car and is nothing at all like last years Ferrari.

looks like Barichello has a much lower downfoce than anyone. Clocking the highest top speed in first, third and fourth sector.

So, first impressions:

Ferrari are extremely competitive - I think we can figure that one out for ourselves, 2 seconds faster, with both of them this quick so early, is well..... wow.

Williams - Not really the pace setters some of us expected them to be, nothing amazing from either cars.

Renualt - Reasonably quick, still not there with Ferrari (obviously) but 3rd and 5th is a very nice start to the weekend.

McLaren - Hard to tell, even though some of us were disappointed with their testing times, it doesn't seem all that bad at the moment, with DC 4th, it isnt that bad. And with Kimi's time - Nothing special at all, but, well, how hard was he trying? They sure didn't do a lot of laps.

In general - I noticed a comment on F1Central.net's commentary (i think it was them) and they said that the new 1 engine per weekend rule has definately made it less interesting with far less cars on the track, and i completely agree.
Had this been last year or a year where there weren't this little rule, Ferrari's time would have been set, then we would have seen teams chipping away at the times.

Schumacher 28.4 22.6 34.0
Barrichello 28.0(-.4) 22.5(-.1) 34.1(+.1)

According to timing Schumacher is 0.234 quicker than RB.

Interesting to see if the Stewards step in and ammend the times.
