Pagenaud's road course results + Montoya's oval results would make them champions.
Bourdais' road course results + Muñoz's oval results would make them 6th. Conway' road course results + Carpenter 's oval results would make them 8th. |

Interesting to split the stats into road and oval course. I think Ed Carpenter's intention was to get a combined top 10 position, which they've effectively done, though I still think Conway's underperformed at times. JPM's stats might be skewed by having so many road courses early in the season while he was still adjusting to the car.

Former Champ Car drivers Pagenaud, Bourdais and Wilson still haven't improved in ovals, especially in comparison with Power. Hunter-Reay won at Indianapolis but hadd poor results in the other ovals.
It's interesting to see Muñoz ranking higher on ovals than Hinchcliffe and Kimball, who also have a road/street racing background. |
