Your Favourite Looking GTP?
With all the talk about the ACO going to closed top LMPs in 2010, I was wondering what everyone's top 3 favorite looking GTPs are???
I have many favorites for this, but my 3 are... Toyota TS020 GT1 Porsche GT1 98 evo Audi R8C |

In the generation we are talking about how many has there actually been. All the significant ones have been mentioned and they were all great!
The Toyota, Bentley and Porsche for me. |

Is this including the entire GT1 class from the 1990's? There weren't exactly many GTP's out there...
Still, my top 3 would include, in no particular order, the McLaren F1 longtail version, the Panoz GTR-1 (it did compete as a GTP in 2004 anyway!) and also the Sintura-Lola from British GT in 1999. |

1. Bentley Speed 8 ('03)
2. Toyota GT-One 3. Mercedes Benz CLR 4. Porsche 911-GT1-EVO ('98) 5. Audi R8C Gave the Mercedes a nod for appearance. IMO it was a stunning car. You can almost picture it flying... The Bentley takes the honors in this group for me though. Going further back, the Peugeot 905-Evo and the Sauber Mercedes C-11 always bring a smile to my face. |

That was alluded to above. However it is easy to get desperate in a list of current generation GTP cars.

hi - seeing as how you have kindly included all three of my efforts in here (R8c Audi, with Tony Southgate), and the Bentleys, can i briefly hijack the thread and say that the best looking coupe of the lot for me is the 917K Porsche. But only if its in gulf blue and orange. And it has to have those fins on they ran occasionally....And i know its not a GTP.
After that it would be Tony's TS010 '92/'93. |

New rule: In case you get any ideas you can't vote for your own car.
We might have to go that far back to get enough cars with roofs! The McLaren longtails just about count I guess. Out of necessity, but also it is cars like that, ones that fought for overall wins, that led to the GTP category. |

The Daytona Prototypes aren't GTPs, but they look decent too.

I think they call this a pre-emptive strike : There is already another thread about Coupes with a fairly extraneous connection with DPs. Lets stick to GTPs here.
Thanks all |

I always liked the IMSA GTPs. There were some awesome cars in that series, especially the Toyota Eagles
If we're just talking about ACO spec cars then the TS020 and Speed 8 are head and shoulders above everything else. |

GTP = CLR
Just so sinister with a wonderful engine note and the all-grey livery. I guess the fact that the cars were ill-fated adds some appeal too. Bentley is a nice looker in all guises, but engine note doesn't do it for me |

Here are a few of my favorite lookers, not in any order:
- Gebhardt C901 - Kremer 962/CK6 (in it's Kenwood livery) - Nissan R90CK - Peugeot 905 Evo1 Bis (without front wing) - Toyota TS010 - 1991 Mussato Action Lancia LC2 I also like the way the BRM P351 looked.. am I strange? A few other cars I like the look of are the Porsche 935's, Toyota TS020 and the Eagle MKiii |
