angst should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Those of you who watched ITV's coverage of the race will probably remember MB's quick chat with Mr Ecclestone on the grid before the race. Did anybody else notice how short he was with MB (and I don't mean physically) regarding a)the bet and b) MB's comments about Silverstone - which I didn't really hear. I must admit I found his brief cameo appearance quite an eye-opener. I've read that he has a great sense of humour and is very intelligent, but from what I saw he just seemed obnoxious and belligerent (to the point that my partner, who has no real interest in F1, just said "what a terrible little man").
What did everybody else make of him? And has anybody met him? And if you have, was he a little more personable than his brief appearance would suggest?

I think Bernie is around 5'5" tall and is referred to many in the US racing circles as the Roaring Dwarf. When Bernie and Tony George, who is around 6'6" tall, were interviewed together it looked particularly comical.

I have heard that there was an almighty row with the American Press about Bernie's severe restriction of press credentials to only 10 radio stations world wide - and hardly anyone with access they were used to getting at the Speedway - perhaps Herr Bernie was feeling as if he had run into a Buzz Saw after dealing with the American Press, who are not used to being blown off by little Englishmen.
