I was always interested in that. Even got offered a drive once but work got in the way. I think the cars run as part of the EERC endurance championship/series.

It still begs the question what happend to the rest of the cars, as there are only two regular marcos entries in the EERC, our car (Parsons/Davies/Osborne) and the orange one whose drivers names have eluded me for the moment. The only other car i know running regular is Alan Edwards in British GT's.............must be lots of marcos sitting in garages gathering dust ????????

Nigel Rata brought his Mantis to Snetterton for the 4 hour Britcar race.
John Pilgrim still has his, but I'm not sure if it's a challenge-spec. Same goes for the Eclipse car, which I believe is up for sale. I thing David Dove has still got 2 machines as well. I think Jem Marsh's original Marcos Cars went bust a few years back, and was bought by Cor Euser's Eurotech outfit. Last October, at the Motor Show, a company called Marcos Engineering were exhibiting, who I assume are the old Marcos outfit starting again. |
