Wow that was an interesting start.....

Was expecting something to go wrong but not a rollover before the first corner. Taylor looks ok, that's what matters.

That Irwin car impact looked nasty.

Car would be very bent.. Not unlike the wreck that donald ducked Mr Davison's Irwin car a couple of years ago with Mr Brabham at the wheel

The SBR team has a spare chassis, so Abu Dhabi shouldnt be an issue..

GRM have 2 wrecks to fix.. They have spare cars too.. Back in Melbourne.. And will likely eat the spares cache for taking overseas..

Frosty. His car almost into the back of #3 which would have no doubt added him into the mix. Not something you'd usually have to worry starting inside the top 10. (if it wasn't for this stupid co driver crap)

Lowndes. His car managing to dodge most of that (albeit wheel to wheel contact with #55, who then jumped up after wheel to wheel with #9). Extremely lucky considering his starting position.

agreed, two things come from that
1 why is pit lane wider than the track
2. would it really be an issue to have yellow lights set up at the start at each starting box.

my year 7 electronics class could have rigged something up

I think this might fix the issue of starting with the co-driver in future

makes much more sense to have them do the middle stint, some of them look really amateur at the moment

And that is a VERY good point! It must have something to do with the old circuit design when there were two categories needing pit lans. Surely something could be done to fix this.

Although it could make the first chicane interesting. Wide track leading into narrow chicane...

I think you'll find that the track is the left lanes of a road, and the wall adjoining pitlane is a curb, so it would be ALOT of work digging up a whole section of dirt to make a wider track.

IF you look very closely STEALTHY you will see there's a traffic island with palm tree's between pitlane and main straight. Was orginally main highway.
