Its just a shame that there was so much secrecy about this team, whether they have the money, the car, the staff to do what was detailed to be happening in one of the fishwrappers

Not true... the Noske operation has had a lot of innuendo surround it, rumours of previous teams unpaid, suppliers unpaid, leaving previous teams in mysterious circumstances...

There is more to this operation than meets the eye I reckon, but whether we will ever hear of it is another thing.

Maybe that dumbnut GTRMaggic can tell us more?

WTF is a dumbnut  Thats the 2nd time I have been called it and nobody seems to know what it is....

Anyway, in AA today, Tony Noske is on record as saying the ICS Smartcard (International Card Systems) sponsor dollars is substantially over due, and that there has been no dollars change hands at all as yet

Enough cash to make PI and thats it....

Not looking particularly good is it?????

Isn't this what they did to Larko ? The were already on the car getting exposure but they weren't coughing up the dough until he was left with no choice but to remove them from the car ?

Had it been me that ICS approached (which is apparently the way it happened) Id have steered clear in light of the Larkham Debarcle. Did LMS ever get what was owed.
Someone told me today they have heard the ICS deal with Noske was supposd to have seen a payment ( first Installment) be forthcoming to the tune of 1 Million Dollars.

Nice Knowing you on TT mark, Hope you get an enduro drive once your team runs out of money after PI.

Damn ICS they should be shot.

I hope the team are standing by with a roller and a can of white paint to "liquid paper" out that ICS logo 10 minutes before they go out on the track for race 1 if the funds aren't forthcoming.

Car would look nice in Panasonic colours anyway. I'm sure INXS logos could be very special too.

Didn't INXS sponsor a little Production Car in the long dim past?

Yep, late 1987 through 1989. David's involvement with INXS actually started many years before when he let them practice playing in his garage. Nice to see them back on a car

Yes, it does look good especially for an AU. Hopefully a lot of sponsorship money will turn up soon and the BA will be on line too. You have done well over the weekend too Mark, Congratulations.

I feel sorry for them with the ICS deal, but I dont think they are too smart, where have they been in the last few years, head buried in the sand, From what I have heard after the Larkham debacle ICS should never even looked like getting on the side of a car again. Sue the barstards!!!!

Makes me wonder why a team would run the name on the car for two days and have not been paid. Did take special note that the whole big dollar deal at Adelaide was all brand new. How do you pay for this operation with a million dollar scar in your pocket.

I assume it was contracted. Just because someone doesnt pay today does not mean they wont pay tomorrow, the probability becomes less as time goes by however.

That you see a mass of new equipment should not assume that it is all owned, or paid for. Credit terms are wonderful things, people can owe you for a LONG time, and you can owe other people for as long if not longer, or forever and always....

I accept your points exactly however there must be a time when payment becomes due and then overdue. Eventually accounts need to be settled. WHAT THEN ?

Keep the people at Clayton Utz busy to give a legal opinion as to material breaches and frustrations while not exposing yourself to risk....

If the team takes the name off the car, technically they may have breached contract so the alleged sponsorship debt becomes null & void.

The secret would be to find a reputable sponsor and/or sponsor procurer...

Why is it that this whole industry always seems to get involved with legal arguement. A better option would be to make the sport cheaper and the sponsors dollars would not have to be as large. The facts are that under the current format there are only 6 teams that have any chance of winning races and the balance only make up the field, then it would follow that these teams are always going to suffer the indignity of not being able to raise sponsorship. What then, they dont appear like mark has said may happen to him after PI, Avesco takes control of the franchise and sells it to the highest bidder, this is no benefit to the sport.
