I heard hearings that despite all optimistical assurances of Lada and Shapovalov, the team again has problems with financing. Perhaps it I was one of the reasons of leaving of Haff. Speculation goes from the Lada Rosneft team which acts in the Russian championship.

According to Lada that 3 cars damaged very badly, they can't repair/rebuild them without performance degradation. http://hosszabbitas.hu/wtcc/negy-uj-...it-epit-a-lada So imho they might use those for tests or in PR events. |

ROAL gave up on their second entry and released their Team Manager girl. Waiting for Tom's cash now.

Really? Well, great if true.
Have a feeling that Lada driver announcement will be at the same time as the Sochi opener announcement. Although it is not good that almost at the beginning of Ferbruary we still don't have the full calendar and the line-up of the factory. But then again, there is financial crisis in Russia so I feel it is really tough to finalise the agreements |

Yokohama trophy becomes WTCC trophy. Yokohama logos are absent as well from the website. Does it mean that WTCC is left without an official tyre supplier? If it is, it really "brilliant" job from Ribeiro & Co. |

While I'm not a fan of them either, on this one I'd reserve my judgement untill more is clear. Yokohama has been a sponsor for ages, they were bound to leave at some point and another manufacturer will step in for sure.

But I agree with you, I was probably too early to judge. It's just beyond my understanding how can a professional (world!) championship can be left without an official tyre supplier with less than 2 months 'till the start of the season. Maybe I'm completely wrong and Yokohama will stay and continue to supply tyres but without being the official championship sponsor. |

Since when Championships NEED an official tyre supplier ? Would be fun with a little tyremaker competition.

Well all official team confirmed their line up.
Finally lada announced tarquini Catsburg and Valente. At the end Citroen has still the best line up ahead Honda LADA and Volvo. Lets hope there will be a decent quality of drivers in independent teams |

The field is still looking a bit thin. I really, really hope they can get up to 20 as a minimum.
