I think Nick W drove the Divi Surtees occasionally early in 76, ie just after the team had got it. I saw him at the MCD Open 'Libre' series race at Mallory in April that year, he was 3rd OTOH behind Musetti and Wingfield in their F2s.

I think Nick sold his Escort GA to Kirk over the winter of 78-79. He went G1 after that I think with a Capri

Yes that was the meeting i went to i think, He did buy 2 Grp A Capris, i bought the sister car but never raced it as my daughter arrived and a bigger house was being asked for!! so that was the end of my racing! sold the Capri to Mike Kimpton Via Nick. Now i can afford to race im too bloody old !!! similar story to a lot of EX racers i expect.

The photo posted by 'Big Andy' at Brands Hatch Paddock bend was a 'Century Supreme' special saloon race on the 8th May 1977.
There are a lot of Minis in the picture because qualifying was very wet.
I will try to sort out the drivers in the picture when I have found my results sheet.

Davina Galica was in the program for this meeting driving a Lola in the Sports 2000 championship, which she was leading at the time.

The drivers and cars in the picture are:-
Nick Whiting - Ford Escort No1
Tony Dickinson - Ford Escort No20
Tony Strawson - Ford Capri No6
David Smith - Mini No37 (The car built by David & myself)
Peter Baldwin - Mini Ford No32
Rob Mason - Stiletto Imp No 22
Terry Harmer - Mini No38
Richard Oliver - Mini No36
Mike Chittenden - Ford Anglia No34
Tony Rosen - Ford Capri No5
John Jones - Ford Escort No15
Edward Punt - Ford Escort No15
Clement - Mazda Chevrolet No 4
Mike Scott - Ford Anglia No35

There is also a car hidden Behind the Anglia on the right hand side which could be another Mini or it could be Alan Humberstone who was also in the race in a Hilman imp.

Sorry Big Andy,I don't. I went to Oulton on Saturdays and Croft on Sundays.
Went to the big Supersaloon Meeting, but have been looking for those photos for years.I've Gerry in the Dolomite but no S/loons.
Talking about that,I remember a Supersaloon race at Oulton with Doug Niven in the Beetle and Nick W in the Escort GA with I think the droop snoot. Nick won.
The following day,Doug was at Longridge, in a twenty lap race he broke the lap record seventeen times.
