Edmonton should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Front Wheel Drive

Why don't front wheel drive cars have equal length driveshafts? Wouldn't having this eliminate tourque steer?

GTV27 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Some do (eg Alfa Sud) but it can be a bit tricky for transverse engine designs.

Also it doesn't actually eliminate it as variations in tyre grip on the road can itself induce torque steer. Getting the geometry right seems now to be more important than the driveshafts in reducing unwanted steering feedback.

Better to just put the power through the rear wheels - that way torque steer = powerslides = FUN .

Spot on - you can't get equal lengths in most FW cars because they just don't fit in the space available.

You also wouldn't be able to turn left when cresting a hill - did that in a Honda Civic. Caught it just enough to only move over about half a car width but it was fun

imull has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
tourque stter in my mates Rover 800 Vitesse is awesome. Nail it, turbo in and 200bhp through the huge front tyres

It covered two lanes of the motorway slip road last time he did it

depends which seats you get. The Recaro's are hard but keep you in place. The leather ones are softer but you slide around like anyhting in them...

True. (Slightly off topic...) It's always been a problem for Traffic - they spend all day sat in them, often wearing all sorts of odd protective clothing. Rovers and Vauxhalls (since the awesome Senator) were always hated. Seems nobody can match the Swedes when it comes to seats.
