Is it just me, or are the camera locations more spread out than in previous years? It seemed only 2 cameras were covering from the Bentley straight to the start line. Don't itv have all the camera locations setup and manned on Saturday for support races?

Honda 1-2-3-4, well done to Goff, see what he can do later with no ballast and well done Cammish, first win tomorrow? Watch out for Smith too. Also good performances by Oliphant and Thompson, Turkington saddled with ballast, only 15th and not really surprised to see the two returnees at the back

Goff is on a roll for sure

and old war horse Matt Neal banged a front row

surprised Turks isn't more upfront without ballast

Tom Chilton looks set for another good day - real contender for the championship.

Highest VW in 21st in Q2.... Sadly can't see them ending the season with 4 cars.

Wow, what a session, completely balls out. Ballast or no ballast, Goff seems to be quali king ATM. And what a result from Chilton, gonna be an interesting R3 tomorrow

Just quickly, where is Addison today?

I get the sentiment behind what they've done with Sutton's car, but I have to say that watching it on my laptop, it just felt like the colour on my screen had developed a fault. This is not a reflection on Ash, but I actually found it a bit irritating to watch.

There's no getting away from the fact that David Addison is very knowledgeable and is passionate about motorsport, but I actually liked having Paul in his place. I don't think we could have him commentate on every race over the course of a season, but I enjoy hearing that excitable Scouse voice.

Agree on both fronts - I would rather have Paul commentate than Tim, to be honest!

We still don't know how the third race will pan out but now I think it'd be great if this format (2 qualifying sessions and longer third race) would be retained.

Again it's the race that matters, but a 15 minute qualifying seemed a little silly being so short.

Probably the best chance we've ever had for another triple winner tomorrow.

I agree it might be nice to use this race format again, although I’d rather not have the double points

Jack Goff is currently 50 points behind Turks

if he does very well he might end up the points leader

I really fear for Turks , 15th he is right in the danger zone of crashes !!! hope all drivers make it to race 3 start

Chilton 16th also in danger zone would be a big shame if he could take race 3 start

Bit of a late warning for those heading to Snetterton along the A11 - the Old Buckenham Airshow is on this weekend just up the road, and their advertised route is one junction east (Hargham Road) from the Snetterton junction. Expect delays...

Pole in at least two of the races gives him a pretty good chance I reckon. All the Hondas seem strong this weekend so I wouldn’t be surprised to see Goff leave the weekend on top!

Does he get an extra point for the Q2 pole? And are the bonus points doubled (or for pole / leading / FL)

All points are doubled for race 3 - drivers / teams / fastest lap / leading a lap.

Also pole for race 3 is worth 2 points
