Bill Adam says Risi will not qualify. That's two races in a row that they will start in the back.

Gavin and PJ Jones made contact down in turn 1. No harm, no foul it appears.

Had hoped (naively?) the Jags would find some speed during the LM "break"... doesn't seem to have happened.

Both Jaguars are more than a second slower than the last GTC car on the grid...

It'll be interesting to see if Risi can make such a good comeback from the back of the grid as @ Long Beach.

BMW almost a second faster than the field. Shame about the Risi Ferrari, would be nice to see more strength in numbers like in the LMS/ILMC. Sorry, but ESM isnt a winning team right now.

the fasted GT1 class in the past 6 years was a 50.1, so these GTE cars are pretty good this year - 50.9 on pole.

Phew, at least one of the Jag's improved to a decent time faster than the GTC cars.

Joeb, do remember though, that with the shorter lap, you now have to turn in a time of just under 49 seconds to get the same lap speed as that GT1 record.

Chris Dyson will qualify the #16. I hope that does not ruin the qualifying show, although Chris has been pretty fast today.

Well the only good thing about the lack of prototypes is that all proper P1s are now coupes and PCs open tops, so track-side Average Joes (if there are any) can recognize the classes easily.

I don't see why everyone gives Chris any grief about not being a very good driver - he seems to be able to keep it pretty quick. Either way the Mazda turbos sound really nice - very aggressive.
