Of course, every survey is only as good as it's participants. IMHO, those people who log onto a motorsport forum will have a varied view on motorsport. Those people who watch the BTCC on the TV and go to one round a season aren't likely to be online. Take this same survey at a BTCC round and it might wield different results.

One thing that we're seeing in this thread is there a lot of people who will go to a BTCC round, because it's on at their local circuit, and because it's a racing event. Not "Club Racing only", but probably not enough to say both either. Makes Mike's comment sound exactly right - get involved in motorsport via watching BTCC, then find other series and watch them more.

gts1 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Big reason I marshal btcc is its a 2 day event so I can see and work at almost all the circuits, this would not be the case if it was a 1 day event due to travel time and cost, and 2 day events are a great way of getting to meet like minded people and having a beer in the campsite when work is done, but saying this I also attend other 2 day meets and club events on a bank holiday Monday after a btcc weekend.
At the end of the day its your call
