Did it?

I thought the problem was just that they were old spec cars and underfunded.

If Britek had access to 2007-8 spec FPR gear, Bright would have been a bunch more competitive, surely?

They were also hobbled by the bizarre testing rules at the time.

Justifiable, if it comes out in the wash that he was in fact shafted by PRA.

Sounds to me like he wanted to keep racing next year, and perhaps feels 'forced' into retirement by the way circumstances played out?

Shafted!?

You mean encouraged to step aside for a young hot shot for the good of the team and sport -- which is surely a totally different situation!

Bright even admitted himself he was only driving at 99%...

You need aces at 100% -- the likes of Mostert, McLaughlin -- to have even a sniff of winning in the ultra-competitive Supercars game, surely? MEGA deserves that as do PRA, surely?

As a owner-driver, surely Brighty should be the first to know that you don't keep a Mezera around in the seat if there is a Lowndes-type available to take over! You just can't miss and give up those kinds of opportunities!

No need to feel badly about it... Baird had to make way for Ambrose, Schumacher had to make way for Raikkonen, Skaife had to make way for Davison, Montoya had to make way for Hamilton, it's the way of the sport...

The video interview seems to suggest it is still very raw for Mr Bright, that there is some kind of anger below the surface that maybe one day, the story will come out.

Hopefully a significant commercial settlement ends up with him, if it is due..

Outsourcing PRA preparation was a mistake in this case.

Full control is the only way to go as an owner-driver. Relying on external management interests for sponsorship and preparation was never going to end well, a one-car team with Jason Bright as the one and only authoritative team principal would have been better...

The last customer REC in that slot complained about prep/engineering, the one before it complained about the same thing, albeit much more quietly and put blame on the pilots just as much. Anyone remember prodrive putting the wrong diff in the cars for the Eastern Creek test?

If we have the Kelly Krate, do we have the prodrive POS?

The Kelly Krate, in Mr Reynolds hands was a capable qualifier, however it would seem the good bits were removed prior to the races

Is it just me or has there been very little discussion or commemt about Mr Bright’s last race weekend?

Mr T.Kelly’s retirement has been mentioned quite a bit on the broadcasts, yet Mr Bright’s leaving was spoken of with a comment from Mr Skaife and that’s it.

Weird..

20 years in the category, successful in Indy Lights, running for Aston Martin overseas, a Panoz in the Race of 1,000 Years in Adelaide, Champ Car on the Gold Coast, Bathurst 1000 win, Bathurst 24 hour win, created his own Supercar and Rally teams from an empty shed....

I don’t quite get the ignorance of all that

Maybe it's because Todd is supposed to be retiring completely, whereas Jason is apparently going to continue on as a co-driver so it isn't really be a full-on retirement?

Mr R.Kelly and his mum & dad are still trying to entice Mr T.Kelly to codrive in the enduros with Mr R.Kelly...

What could Mr Bright have done to be ignored?
