4 Doors in DTM & New Format

With 4 door cars allowed in next years DTM, and a 150km format with optional pitstops, do you think this will encourage more manufacturers to enter, or as it is still german based, will it just continue to be the domain of german manufacturers, sa other makes would look more favourably at the ETC.

Also, are the DTM cars sportscars or Touring Cars, i know they call themselves touring cars, but they are (well, were) eligible for the inetractive sportscar championship.

DTM will never get another manufacturer due to the Mercedes domination of the rules and the racing.
Saying that, I do like the series. It visits some nice tracks, has good drivers.
It is borderline as to whether they are touring cars. I think they are GTs.

I think they're much more modified than GT's-id say they are probably GTS'? Perhaps? But i suppose they are a form, of TC-just a more tuned, expensive one.

I believe the ISC has folded so no cars will leave the DTM. BMW said they may enter the DTM when it becomes international , which it has this year so they could soon enter. Here's hoping.

You can't call one or two races outside germany an international championship. Plus, wouldn't there money be better spent in the ETC, thats about as international in europe as you can get, and in the DTM only german manufacturers are interested.
