Today is a bank holiday in Germany. We took our truck there yesterday for the Procar event, there must have been somewhat like 50,000 people already. Madness. |

We have 52 weekends in a year and these organizers have to pick the same weekend to hold a 24-Hour race? Does Nurburgring people expect to get any coverage like that, or they really don't care?
Live timing is great, but any updates on what's going on? Last year the-paddock.net had excelent coverage but this year they obviously picked covering Le Mans instead. They don't have the man power to do both, which is fully understadable. For the Germans to pick the same weekend of Le Mans is so ignorant. Racing will never get big when organizers do these kind of things. To me this is 100% the arogance of the ...... Next year if they pull this ignorance it's going to bite them in the butt if the Penske Porsche LMP2 shows up to Le Mans, because they'll lose Rockenfeller, Luhr, Bernhardt & Besseng. These guys will have gigs at Le Mans. Last edited by Fiorentina 1; 18 Jun 2006 at 03:23. |

Is it possible that the ADAC wamted their race to be more open to the gentlemen drivers in the series? So they scheduled alongside le Mans, hoping that the pro drivers would concentrate on Le Mans?

Seen at the AMOC, St John Horsfall Meeting at Silverstone, last Saturday, 1st July.
The Aston which was pretty much standard, came 4th in class and 24th overall; can't be bad! More here:- http://www.autoblog.com/2006/06/19/i...ring-24-in-pr/ |
