Let's hear it for The Chase, fellas. Biggest points gap in the three series going in to the final race (and the other two are using the "real" points system). Will NASCAR learn from this and abolish this asinine farce? I have my money on a firm no.
Instead, they will probably try to "tweak" the flawed system instead of admitting that it was a bad idea in the first place. When will they ever learn, when will they...ever learn. I'm excited about the points races in the other two series, though, and will be attending all three races this weekend! Cup should be a good race, as usual, but not the points race. I would rather see someone win the Cup by 1,500 points using the old system than by 1 with The Chase. *All just my opinion, of course. |

Yep...Looking at the classic points standings, Johnson is only 56 points ahead of Edwards, Kyle Busch 219 behind.

Does anybody actually like The Chase (clearly some will, but I mean in overall trend terms)? I cannot say I've come across positive opinions of it, apart from the occasional caller to the Sirius NASCAR channel.
