Great performance from Rob Huff. I´m hoping for a Chevi-Victory.
Bad Luck for Alan Menu. Without Coronel (?) he would be on first row, too. So it is "just" Position 8 (good Chance for 2nd Run ???).

Coronel stayed well out Menu's way, it was the Bulgarian BMW which gave him the full block right before entering the pits. Not a splendid entry to the championship

A few seconds before, we saw Tanev chasing another independents car, I might think he was on a fast round, but after Menu forced him to get out of the way and over the curbs, he might end the try...

This was my sight, as I don't accept everything from Menu...others have to do their work too...

BTT, bad performance from BMW or the Seat/Chevi made some bluff in the free practice....

I mean there was a Seat (Coronel or Colak) how "stopped" Menu´s Pole-Chase.

The English-Commentary says it was Marin Colak, the German-Commentary says it was Tom Coronel.

And as I said in my previous post, it was neither of them. It was the Bulgarian BMW driven by Tanev. Coronel was driving there as well, but he was driving clearly off the ideal line while Tanev wasn't moving over at all.

Coronel had his p3 revoked after his car failed to restart after being weighed after the race This means he's dropped back all the way to p24.

George Tanev was also penalised. He was using a GPS which is forbidden by the sporting regulations. Tanev was qualified on P25. Now he started from P29.

Last week I read an article about a BMW (!) that could race on a circuit without driver thanks to GPS, cruise control, power steering and a computer. A professional driver drives a few laps and the GPS and other data is recorded. With these data the cruise control is controlling the trottle and the power steering is steering.

Poor Tom Coronel. It was a big chance for him, to show that he must have a Diesel-Seat. A great Talent but he hasn´t much luck to beat the best.

The first Run was a really great Race. Victory for Farfus and great 2nd and 3rd Place for Huff and Menu. Coronel was driving a great Race, too. Starting from 24th on the Grid he was driving on P7.

Now he starts from P2 in Race 2. Perhaps his first Victory ???

Tarquini must be disqualified for this unfair Attack against Andy Priaulx. But I don´t read anything about this on "TouringCarTimes" or "fiawtcc.com".

The Stewards will probably look at it as just another unavoidable racing incedent....!

Did Priaulx have a target on his car? He must have been hit 4 or 5 times during race one!

Coronel was only placed back 5 places, so he started from P8. Apparently they changed his penalty.

Tarquini's action on Priaulx was rather dirty indeed, and should be penalized.

The dutch commenter just mentioned that Tarquini got a minute added to his racetime because of his action on Priaulx. He got away lightly there if you ask me.

That was discussed on British Eurosport too. Totally useless sort of penalty that, maybe though it's been handed out before so they felt they had to apply the same penalty.

The carnage at turn one came in race two though, John Cleland stating that the person who designed it should be taken into a dark room and beat about the head. I can't disagree with that, but the FIA come along and pass the corner as suitable as well. It's just bizarre a 4 / 5 car wide straight ends with that 90 degree left.

Tarquini takes a 30 second penalty for the Jump-Start at Race 1 and another 30 seconds for his attack against Priaulx. This was a stupid Penalty.

The second Race was really cool, too. Great Drive from Coronel on P2. The Fight between Gene, Farfus and Priaulx was Awesome.

@Bramzel: You´re right. He started from 8. I don´t know this, because the German Broadcaster (n-TV) misses the start.

That second race was pure advertisment for the sport. The first corner carnage should show the Oschersleben people that they should bring back the old corner, but what followed was a great show. Nice racing, little bit of rubbing, some sweet ass fights and excitement until the end.
