There is a whisper going round that Queensland Raceway may be installing floodlights, and I was just thinking that a QLD 500 held at night would be fantastic... Out of the heat of the day, and having support races all through the day would mean that there would be no traffic problems. Brilliant!

What would you like to see? A 24hr race? More races with the Adelaide or Canberra format? A return of the endurance series? Bring back 3x20 min sprints, or simply have one 1.5hr long race?

I've always thought that Queensland Raceway is too boring a circuit for a big event like the 500 etc

i would love to see some longer races. Night racing is excellent. The only place to have it though is bathurst. Remember the proddy car 12 hours. They were the best race meetings i ever went to .Standing on top of the mount watching the brakes and exhausts glowing. Staying up all night because you couldnt be bothered waking up at 5 am for the start. excellent stuff

Actually the Ford following members of this forum (plus our best mate Marcus) should arrange to all attend a meeting next year if not this one. How about Bathurst?

I'd be in for a 12 hour race at Bathurst (again) too as I missed getting the the first lot. Only made the Eastern Creek one, and while it was ok I could see how great it would have been at Bathurst.

u think that with the floodlights being put in at Qld Raceway that they'll hold a 24hr race for the V8's like the LeMans 24hr to the ALMs and the Spa 24hr to the Super Touring cars

mixture is the best thing i think..i like the 3x20 min races and the Adelaide format is good (allthough 2 1 race each day at PI didnt work last year)

under lights...hhmmmmm..they really have to have very good lights..eastern creek in 96 and Calder whenever it was were good but for Tv it didnt come up that well..it needs to look like daylight..just like the cricket or speedway events.

I went to a night meeting at Winton anoce and it was terrible..the lights were useless and you couldnt see anything..so the lights need improving.

but then again go the the Griffith kart track...wow what a place they run all their events at night for the farmers boys to be able to race and it is lit up brilliantly.

oh yeah..and we should all organize a get together at a V8 event..im getting rather jealous of all these Poms meeting each other ..we need to show of the Aussie branch of ten tenths...even if im the only holden fan around

im going to the konica races at Winton if anyone is interested ?
