Demolition Derby???

And i use to think that the Nascar races at Mexico City and in road courses in general were demolition derby's and lots of Pace cars...

Is certanly one of the wildest F-1 races i remember since i start to watch them (1986)

You know, part of the mystique of Formula 1 is the challenge of reducing million-dollar racing machines into as many pieces of debris as possible...

Too bad Montoya copped out of his shunt for us.

Add all those pieces from Jenson's engine...

At least they should buy one of those Champcar Turbine trucks to clean the track when they succed to reduce all that millon dollar machinery to hand-picket size pieces...

i'm sure uncle Bernie can give 2 bucks...

Fortunately, Honda's last-second spectacle was the icing on the cake for us gawkers.

Ok time to be serious...

Great Race!!!!!!

You don't see very often races with this kind of thrill, and i am not including the accidents, drivers give their best and many prove that they were going on the edge of what their cars can give them

i like it!!!

Not a total absolute classic in strictly racing terms, but created a lot of excitement. One of the advantages of a street circuit - those walls cause carnage.

CANARGE...Well that's not a rule, see Champcar guys all that times going in concrete tunnels and putting great shows without to much scrattches...

Alonso simply sweept the floor...

The action between Button, Fisi, Kimi was just great!!!!

We lost out on pure racing and nobody was ever going to beat Alonso, but really good fun for a neutral, and I have to confess that I enjoyed it as well.

An enterprising marshall could make a fortune on Ebay today.

And I chose not to go to this race!

Great action, with even some overtaking on a track not normally renowned for it.

Murray Walker commentating the race on Network Ten, and JV coming home sixth, plus my footy team saluted this afternoon too! I'm a very happy boy!

Racing wise it was merely OK, better than the Sepang bore fest, but only just.

I think the Bahrain season opener was one of the best races ive ever seen, loads of passing up and down the field, and a tight battle for the lead, fantastic.

Great race for the viewers, with lots happening. The frequent Safety Car periods became slightly self-sustaining, because they ensured that tyres lost their temperature and made the cars harder to drive. The crashes weren't generally down to poor driving, just to challenging circumstances which increased the importance of the driver.

There was some great overtaking out there today I thought and the race was largely entertaining!

Liuzzi and Montoya pulled off some cracking manouevres.

It was a great race, and i'm happy that JV could end 6th. With out drivers crushing in front of him, i don't think he would manage to score those points. This was pure luck, and i'm happy he had it. lol

This was without doubt the best Melbourne race ive ever watched. SC car coming in just in time to break the boring stints. What a difference Imola will be.

I would say he finished in sixth as a direct result of dealing with the race situations better than those who, for a variety of reasons, did not finish ahead of him (mechanical/team problems are under the "dealing with race situations" umbrella).

It was a great race. Yes there was four safety car periods but they didn't drag on like they do in Champ Car, IRL, or even NASCAR. We don't see safety car periods oftern apart from usually Montreal or Monaco so I don't mind them in F1...

Not much more than a half of the drivers have finished the race. One of the wildest I remember is in Brazil, I think 2 years ago, when Fisichella won in an unfinished race. And there was another one, the European GP of 1999, which was won by Johnny Herbert with 9/22 finishers.
