Continuous AF or pre-focus?
Which method do you use most for track shots - continuous autofocus or pre-focus on a fixed point and firing the shutter when the subject reaches it?
I used to try both but neither was particularly easy with dodgy eyesight and no dioptre correction on the camera. Nor did I have a fast-focussing lens. I believe most pros use the pre-focus method and learn how far ahead (in milliseconds, of course) they should fire the shutter to compensate for any lag. |
