That sounds familiar, 10, 10th's never let's you down! 'The 2007 schedule (detailed yesterday) was unveiled, with much fanfare about the expansion to Fuji. Mr. Uzushiri discussed how they hoped to have a dozen Prototypes and a dozen GT2 cars next year. I am expressing hope that Santa will leave me a 550 Maranello. There is hope that some Japanese entrants with new 997s will come aboard' From:- http://www.dailysportscar.com/ Despite a slow start the JLMC seem's to be gaining momentum. Indeed things definately seem to be improving for the JLMC as the season has progressed, if the numbers mentioned above become reality then the series really could have some influence on the International scene of sportscar racing.

Will there be something like a live-timing?
If yes i would be thankful if somebody from the pacific area could post the link to it here as I have to admit that my japanese is very limited and I would hardly be able to discover it on the JLMS-website. Good news to hear the series is continuing in 2007 - I just hope for more ACO-eglible cars then. |

Seems completely bizarre that the they say Zytek should be running 100kg heavier than it is - its a P675 (running at 750) - thats why it has a 3.4l engine and no bigger!!
The Courage is a modern P900 car, yes about 100kgs heavier but with a much bigger engine. You cannot give the Zytek a small engine and lots of weight - whats going on? - there is no way it should be running 100kgs heavier (unless I have misunderstood something)........ |

Hmm, yes it does seem quite confusing doesent it. I was under the impression that the Zytek was running to the same set of regulations it ran in the ALMS last year.

GT1 looks to have been a good fight too, nice to have the Murcielago winning, also good to see the Mosler competitve against the 550. I look forward to the 2007 season. |

It looked like a good race, the organisers seem optimistic, and next year's calendar looks good. So some real grounds for optimism on two fronts methinks. |

Going by the photos on DSC the event looks reasonably well attended too, from what little you can see in the grandstands there seems to be quite a few people in some of the shots. Definately more than most rounds of the FIA SCC for example. I was expecting barely anyone to turn up for this but it looks like there may have been a few thousand or so.

It makes the grid bigger, gives spectators something to watch, allows smaller teams with an eye on moving up to get used to the environment and see the level of performance required (to say nothing of getting a bit of exposure). To the average punter I'm sure they'd rather see some fast prototypes and some slow ones (and at least the GCs and Oscars looks sufficiently different) than a sparse field with no cars to see. Ideally I suppose next year there'd be enough cars to justify having separate LMP1, LMP2, GT1, GT2, and LMP3 categories. Okay we wouldn't want the real growth to come in the last area, but I seriously doubt it would actively do any harm. |

I must admit im a little disappointed in Mr. Kazumichi Goh for the support he has shown the series , which he played a large part in forming over that side of the world .
