Liz Halliday for 2007
I noticed in the Bear's report and other forums that it seems like Liz Halliday is not racing with Intersport next year as Richard Berry (The very Berry exotics guy, I think) is stepping in for all or at least some of the races, leaving Jon and Clint to fill the rest of the lineup.
Is she concentrating on horses next year, or is she simply not "signed on" to another team (or for that matter, bought her ride)? I think she's a great driver in her own right. Has nayone heard? |

Richard Berry is NOT "stepping in for all or most" of the races. He is ONLY driving as the third driver for "enduros," which at least for now are only two races. Clint and John will share the car throughout the season.
Liz is looking for another prototype drive in 2007. She is not interested in GT - at least for now. There are discussions, though "...the shunt (on Friday at Laguna Seca) hasn't helped..." http://murphythebear.com/blog/2006/1...acura/#more-34 Last edited by TWK; 1 Nov 2006 at 17:23. |

I wonder if she's one of the US drivers looking at a European drive with Creation?

yeah big shunts at petit and laguna probably did not help her cause. Sponsorships are great but when you are crashing weekend after weekend people will lose patience...quickly

Crashing is part of the game ..... i personally think she did a great job this year . LMP2 is getting a lot quicker and Intersport need a quick driver and not a gentleman driver in the face of the new LMP2's from Acura and potential RS Spyders .

It appears the Fragrant Ms Halliday will be one of the instructors on the forthcoming SkyTV show 'The Race'. Where so-called 'celebrities' will be earning proper ARDS licences and then have a race. One of the few names I recognised of the contestants was formerly Sabrina the Teenage Witch, who I believe has partaken of some celebrity racing in the states previously. :turmoil:
