I’m pretty sure AMR ran a Mk2 while waiting for the Escort homologation to be rubber stamped. Anyway, glad the car stirred up some memories! Sadly it didn’t race on Sunday, maybe because of the gearbox issues after first race.
We finished up with both SLRs doing well in GTSCC- the conditions were challenging, to say the least! The red car got P2 in 2L class, just as I predicted. It could have been closer to the winner at the end if it hadn’t been for a botched first driver change..... The B19 got P3 o/a in the Sports Car race, which was dry, so a successful end to the season. Do need to know why Mr Rowley got a ‘stop and go’ penalty however?  Parting shot- nice rainbow Sunday afternoon! |
