tim dodwell should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Castle Combe

How refreshing to see a circuit that uses intelligent advertising to draw in an impressive crowd for such an unpleasant day (weatherwise), as yesterday was. Also, judging by the number of them milling round our cars, they came to see Classic cars racing - not their friends or relatives, as you get at the other circuits.

We hada huge crowd at easter and if it was dry and warm yesterday you'd seen a lot more ok saturday's are slightly less busy but usually most if not all meetings are well supported, and from comments that i've heard a lot of drivers like racing there as the circuit tends to listen to their opinions, the statline lights being one of the problems the drivers have addressed

I'd be happy to go back there not a bad run from Watford either. I had several people remark how much they liked to see my old tub racing mind you they were about as old as me!

Its the Dunlop Motorsport News Championship. A very exciting two race format saloon series run by Rod Birley which I had the pleasure of doing a round last year, you are in for a real treat!

PS No I won't be out with them this year as the weapon I used for that (87 Camaro Iroc) is a bit poorly with a holed sump at the moment and the yellow Historic old bus I was there with on Monday just won't cut it as you may have witnessed!

Yeah and a new roller cam, probably a steel rod, maybe a steel crank and even maybe a 4 bolt mains block, ouch!

Yes, out in the DMN races all being well. 3 races including my Combe saloons race over the weekend will be fun but i couldn't miss the opportunity. The only proviso being if it's over subscribed, as the others have been, I may not get an entry not having done any previous rounds.
